Dr. Mohammad Azizur Rahman received his PhD from University of Alberta, Canada in 2010. Dr. Rahman is currently an Associated Professor in the Petroleum Engineering Program at Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ). Prior to his appointment at TAMUQ, he was an Assistant Professor at Memorial University of Newfoundland and an Instructor at University of Alberta, Canada. Dr. Rahman has received around 2 million research funding from Qatar Foundation, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, and Newfoundland Research & Development Corp. He has been involved in a number of research collaborations with companies, including Total, Qatargas, Intecsea, NEL, Syncrude Canada, GRI simulations, and Petroleumsoft. He is also involved in with a number of professional organizations, including SPE, and ASME. He is a registered Profession Engineer in Alberta, Canada. Dr. Rahman established two multiphase flow loop in pipe/annulus and core flooding set-up in his lab. He has contributed to more than 120 refereed journals and conference publications related to multiphase flow experiment and computational fluid dynamics simulation. He supervised several postdoctoral fellows and graduate students.

Professor Ir. Dr. Dominic Foo is a Professor of Process Design and Integration at the University of Nottingham Malaysia, and is the Founding Director for the Centre of Excellence for Green Technologies. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE), a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM), a Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Engineering Council UK, a Professional Engineer (PEng) with the Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM), as well as the President for the Asia Pacific Confederation of Chemical Engineering (APCChE). He is a world renowned scholar in process integration focusing on resource conservation and CO2 reduction. Professor Foo is an active author, with eight books, more than 160 journal papers and made more than 220 conference presentations, with more than 30 keynote/plenary speeches. Professor Foo is the Editor-in-Chief for Process Integration and Optimization for Sustainability (Springer Nature), Subject Editor for Process Safety & Environmental Protection (Elsevier), and editorial board members for several other renowned journals. He is the winners of the Innovator of the Year Award 2009 of IChemE, Young Engineer Award 2010 of IEM, Outstanding Young Malaysian Award 2012 of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer 2013 (Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan), Vice-Chancellor’s Achievement Award 2014 (University of Nottingham) and Top Research Scientist Malaysia 2016 (ASM). M. G. Buonomenna (Salerno, 1975), graduated in Chemistry in 1998 (110/110), obtained the license and status of Professional Chemist in 1999 (100/100). She was awarded a Research Fellowship in Membrane Materials and Operations in 1999 from the Institute on Membrane and Technology (ITM) (former IRMERC)-National Research Council of Italy (CNR) and a PhD in Chemical Engineering and Materials in 2005 from the University of Calabria. In February 2014 and for the second time in October 2018 she obtained the qualification of Associate Professor in Chemical Fundamentals of Technologies from the Italian Ministry for Instruction, University and Research (MIUR). Her research activities relate to membrane science and technology for sustainable processes. She is author of more than 60 scientific papers in peer-reviewed international journals, 1 book, more than 90 contributions published in conferences proceedings, 10 chapters of scientific books, editor of 1 book on advanced membrane materials, guest-editor of 9 Special Issues in peer-reviewed international journals, and member of the Editorial Boards for a number of international peer reviewed journals. She has been an Invited Speaker in numerous international conferences. She serves as reviewer for several international scientific journals and as Expert Evaluator for International Funding Agencies.

Dr. Ekwipoo Kalkornsurapranee received Ph.D. degree (Polymer Technology) in 2012 from Prince of Songkla University, Pattani, Thailand. In 2013, he become a member of sciences’ faculty as lecturer in Prince of Songkla University, Hat-Yai, Thailand and 2015, he become an Assistant Professor. Since 2016, he has been deputy director of natural rubber innovation research institute (NR-IRI). He published more than 20 scientific papers and granted more than 20 patents in Thailand. His current scientific research interests to extent the performances of natural rubber include thermoplastic natural rubbers’ development, natural rubbers’ modification and vulcanization. He also have ongoing develops which include transdermal patch, slow releasing material, tracing thermoplastic made from natural rubber for medical, agricultural and forensic applications, respectively.

He has published over 60 technical articles and has participated in more than 15 patents. He has held seminars and lectures at the DIK, as well as at the University of Waterloo, Canada. I started the Degree in Industrial Chemical Engineering in 2013. In June 2016, I enjoyed a Research Initiation Scholarship in Technology and Design of Multicomponent Products group (TEP-229) granted by the Universidad de Sevilla, where I developed superabsorbent soy protein-based matrices with micronutrients necessary for horticulture. I continued this line of research with a Collaboration Scholarship form the Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte of Spanish Government, combining it with the Final Degree Project, so I finished the degree in June 2017 obtaining the awards from the Real Maestranza de Sevilla and Excellency Seville City Council for the best academic record. Then, I completed the Master in Food Technology and Industry and worked as Support Researcher in the TEP-229 group in the project “Development of superabsorbent and biodegradable materials processed by agro-industrial by-products”. Actually, I am hired by a fellowship for Training of University Teachers (FPU2017/01718) of the Ministry of Education and Professional Training in the Chemical Engineering department of the Universidad de Sevilla under the doctoral program “Installations and Systems for Industry” where I continue to develop my career as a researcher and as a teacher. All this has resulted in the publication of 23 articles in indexed international journals, as well as 15 book chapters and participation in 40 congresses.

Dr Mercedes Regadío (PhD on Earth Science and the Environment, 2012) has mostly worked in 3 research groups from different countries, being the internal responsible of 10 research projects (>7M €). In the Dept. of Geology and Geochemistry (University Autónoma de Madrid, Spain, 2007-2013), she worked on the structure and properties of earth materials related to waste liners. In the Dept. of Chemistry (KU Leuven, Belgium, 2014-2017), she worked on the reactions acting on earth and waste materials and their (challenging) chemical analyses. In the Dept. of Civil and Structural Engineering (The University of Sheffield, UK, 2018-2020), she works on engineering principles to build high attenuation recycled anti-pollution barriers for waste deposits. This allowed her to acquire knowledge in different, but correlated scientific disciplines: geology, chemistry and environmental engineering. Parallel to her research, she lectured on related topics more than 400 h to bachelor's and master's students in Spain, Germany and UK. In addition, she has cosupervised (1) and is cosupervising (2) PhD students, technicians (4), postgraduate research stays (3) and mentored a postdoctoral fellow (Univ. of Manchester) and an early-stage researcher (Univ. Autónoma Madrid – TU Delft). She has 40 conference communications (80% international) and 54 published documents, which include 21 JCR articles. She has collaborated and published with 36 international researchers from more than 20 universities, research centres and companies. She is an Associate editor with honorarium of Heliyon Earth Science (Elsevier Ltd) and a topic editor of Minerals (MDPI). Dr. Mondal obtained his BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the University of Calcutta, M-Tech in Rubber Technology from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur and PhD in Chemistry with specialization in carbon nanomaterials and polymer materials. His PhD work was carried out as a joint Ph.D. program between the Indian Institute of Technology and the University of Houston, United States of America. Dr. Mondal has authored 17 peer reviewed publications in international journals, 7 book chapters, and a 3 USA and 1 Indian patent. Before joining academia, Dr. Mondal has worked for Momentive Performance Materials (Formerly GE Silicone), a world leader in the silicone-based products market, as a Research Scientist in the Corporate R&D for close to 4 years. His domain expertise in the industry was in the field of application of specialty polymer and their composition for application in autonomous vehicle, electric vehicle. For the last ten years, Dr. Mondal has been working on graphene and different graphene/graphite derivatives for specialty applications. His expertise and research interest relates to polymeric/rubbery electronic materials, printed electronic material, smart adhesives and high-performance composite materials. Dr. Mondal is in the reviewer panel of the American Chemical Society, Royal Society of Chemistry, and Elsevier.
